Daniela Bernacchi is Executive Director of Global Compact Network Italy. After a twenty-year career in the marketing of large and distinguished multinationals operating in the publishing, entertainment and energy sectors – reaching the position of Marketing Director – Bernacchi continued her professional experience in the non-profit sector. For 12 years, until febraury 2019 she has been CEO of two leading Italian non-governmental organizations, namely WeWorld and Cesvi Foundation, focusing on humanitarian and development programs. She was also member of the Board of «Alliance2015», a network which brings together 8 European NGOs committed to the promotion of the SDGs in 89 countries . Since September 2019 she is Executive Director and Secretary General of UN Global Compact Network Italy, the world’s largest voluntary corporate sustainability initiative in the world. In the role she is acting as a link between the network and UNGC in New York , developing and managing strategic plans for the local network and representing the organization at national and international level. From 2020 to March 2022 she has been appointed alternate of the Western Europe and North America countries for UNGC collaborating with the Chair in coordinating 16 countries.
Ms Bernacchi holds a Master in Social Entrepreneurship from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore Milano, she also attended post graduate courses in Strategic Marketing and Social Enterprise from SDA Bocconi
